We had mapped out the trip on Mapquestfrom Bryce Canyon to Monument Valley and it said "some portions unpaved". We didn't think it would be any big deal, that maybe there would be a couple of stretches of dirt roads in that 43 mile stretch. Well after a couple of miles of blacktop, we came to an "unpaved portion" which turned out to be the remaining 41 miles. We're not talking about dirt roads, we're talking about roads carved out of solid (jagged) rock.
