Jeneanne > It was so foggy when we arrived at Monterey Bay, that I had my doubts that we'd be able to see any whales.
Jeneanne > This was the boat that took us out on our 6 hour cruise. They had a Marine Biologist on board who was explaining everything to us.
Jeneanne > As we left the bay California Sea Lions were everywhere.

Jeneanne > The Sea Lions are real cute but you don't want to be downwind from them.
Jeneanne > We had been out for about an hour , about 15 miles out when a couple of Humpback whales were spotted. Here you can see them flapping their fins on top of the water. The Marine Biologist explained to us that they do this to attract other whales. We saw a lot of that.
Jeneanne > We got to see a double breech (that's when the whales jump out of the water) but I missed it because of the digital delay.
(Hint: if you ever go whale watching take a FILM camera with you)
